Jay has occasionally put out great product but ... As far as I'm concerned Ghost has the best catalog in hip hop, unreleased and retail. With Supreme Clientele Ghost legitimately pushed the boundaries of what language can do in rap. Meanwhile Jay is an icon of bullshyttery and submission to the values of corporate Amerikkka. To me at least there's really no comparison.

I listen to Ghostface more. (And that's usually what these types of questions are about, regardless of how it's dressed up. "Better" = "like more.") Supreme Clientele and Ironman are both higher on my favorite albums list than any Jay-Z album. Ghost is one of the few artists with multiple albums in my Top 60, which are the albums I listen to the most. That's my personal preference, and I don't make any claims for it to be anything more.

Out here in my damn drawls

The conviction of my tape is rape, wicked like Nixon
Blond heads, inscriptions with three sixes in
Kiss the pyramid experiment with high explosive
I slapbox with Jesus, lick shots at Joseph

Zoom in like binoculars, the rap blacksmith
Money's Rolex, was rockless, Chef ragtop is spotless
I'm Iron Man no die-cast metal, I'm steel-alloy
True identity hidden inside secret tabloids
Breathe oxygen, both sides of my jaw carry oxes
The track hit like the bangers, in hundred watt boxes
Yo jostling these cats while Little J be deli-ing
Sip Irish Moss out of Widelians

Ghost is wacky :mjlol: One of my personal GOATs. He can do it all

Jay is cool too when he's on his shyt and not coasting
