NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
I said it before and imma say it again. That streaming service shyt is gonna fukk around and flop cause of all this exclusivity shyt. It's to the point that albums keep getting pulled and u gonna have to spend 50 bucks a month for all the services to get all the albums. This is why only digital is BAD business. U don't actually own this shyt. Clear example. De La Soul. U can't even find thier albums on ITunes for purchase. Let alone a streaming service.

Spotify has gone from 10 million premium to 30 million in less than 2 years and it's been poppin for nearly 10 years over in Europe.

I don't think the owners of Tidal, of which Jay-z and Kanye are the only ones on that fukkboy shyt + Taylor Swift could stop such a run. There's like 30 million other songs that we can enjoy. If something is missing you can buy or download it. I think the exclusive shyt will flop, not the 'one week exclusive', but the eternal one. Apple has 200 billion in cash so they can do all types of things, but when they realize that that they are paying crazy money that isn't really getting people to switch (if that's the case) they will stop doing it. Also I think Taylor was a part of the launch strategy, the whole thing with her letter to Apple and all that bs. She moves 6M in these times so she's probably one of the very few people that's worth it.

LMAO... First time i heard that.
nikkas is walking around using androids? Foh

I had the first Droid, to be honest.
I don't use a Droid and if I did it would be before an iPhone.
Never using that outdated girl phone, iphone shyt ever again.

shyt is like having Wilma Flintstone and betty rubble in yo pocket talkin about charge it.

The iPhone is like five years dated and brand new.

Can you get the torrents on that shyt?
Do you still have to pay for every high end app?
Can you finally get your own ringtone you made and been using since you could create your own ringtones since 2006, a decade ago.

Does the windows xcel, word, etc work for real or is there a conversion issue back and forth to windows and apple.

Can I play my music I ripped myself from my vinyl on it,....?
Can I put a movie I ripped myself on it?

Can I watch a brand new movie at the movies on it for free?

There are not that many albums or records in this day and age to listen to.
The high quality albums and features in rap is only 30 gigs at best.

Right now I got 8 gigs on my phone and I am bored with music.
Plus, the artist most of them sold out.
So, I don't listen to a sector of my contemporaries because they some sellouts.

A business man made a business move I see no problem with this whatsoever.

The fact that he's a black man is simply a bonus :salute:

ANYONE who wants Reasonable Doubt, Blueprint, BP2, and BP3 can buy the CD and rip it to their phones or Music devices. I haven't had to stream a Jay-Z album EVER because I personally own his entire catalogue...

When the day comes that CD's are truly irrelevant and its streaming only then the lines will be drawn. Jay-Z, just like his CAC counterparts, is going to want to position himself in the most advantageous way possibly. Utilizing albums from himself, Kanye, Rhianna, and Queen Bey is the best possible chess move. Why WOULDNT he do this?

That's your opinion, note your age too.
The young dudes love music today, there's a lot more artists and a lot more fans :manny:

Older cats in the golden era used to say that music sucked back then too.

Personally I listen to plenty of genres, rap is my second or third most played genre. I listen to new music all the time (new could be an album from 2003 that I missed), probably 2-3 albums per week. It's not as if I notice the 10 bucks that's missing from my account.
