Jay Z Reportedly "Can't Stand" Kanye West

Sources say Jay Z sees Kanye as a "nut job" who he can only "tolerate in small doses."


Kanye West made a few contentious remarks about Jay Z during the Saint Pablo tour's stop in Seattle earlier this week -- namely, that Hov let "political shyt" get between him and the music, and he didn't come by Kanye and Kim Kardashian's house to show support after Kim was robbed at gunpoint in Paris. "Bring the kids by the house. Like we're brothers." Kanye said.

But according to an insider source, Jay Z does feel the same way about Kanye. “Jay can’t stand him,” the source told Page Six. “He looks at him as this crazy, eccentric motherfukker he can tolerate in small doses. Kanye is a nut job. Everyone knows that.”

The source added that Jay Z only went on the Watch the Throne tour in 2011 because of the amount of money he stood to make. "Jay was like, ‘I’m gonna knock this out. We’re going to do a tour to bring in millions of dollars. I can tolerate that.’ ”

Another source close to Kanye told Page Six, “It didn’t seem like Kanye was dissing Jay at all. They are brothers, closer than friends. Jay appreciates Kanye’s genius, understands his passions and eccentricities and is accepting of it all.”

The other source begged to differ. “That’s just perception," she said. "The reality is that Jay doesn’t want that much to do with him. He likes his own space and is private. They’re very much not the same person. Jay’s immediate circle is very insular, and Kanye is just a guy who always wants something in the spotlight.”
