Live shows gonna suffer...the
urban ones anyway![]()
All entertainment is suffering....all the broadway and high end shows are financed by Boomers and above are done....forever...
Hmm...well everyone had to be able to read and write music to make a living in 1890 and most were in extreme poverty.
Not gonna happen in 2020 and many artists were already struggling before the pandemic....
Hopefully labels get wrecked and the independent can rise again.

It’s been only a little over a month and this so called music/business giant Roc Nation finances not even strong enough to stay people payed for awhile
tells u a lot

such a stupid fakkit.
the music industry isn't going anywhere. broke artists with no backup plans are...

Well, if multi-billion dollar companies are laying people off and asking workers to take a paycut, why is Roc Nation any different? Businesses far wealthier lay people off on a whim. Not because they don't have money but because it doesn't make business sense to keep people who are not doing anything. If you're not making money, you have to cut the expenses. That's why I encourage everyone to bet into working for themselves. They'll never have to rely on anyone taking food off their plate. I need to heed this advice myself.
Spotify and Apple Music generate over 10-15 billion bucks per year and 70% of that (should) goes to the owner of music (and podcasts etc).Might be a wrap for the music industry, their model is based on live performances and pushing merchandise at shows. Streaming doesn't generate money like that.

Thriving
As long as people have a desire to make and listen to music, which they have since the beginning of time, the industry will survive, whether it be through independent street performers and handwritten sheet music, or major label album sales and streaming services
