This will hit them Rory and Mal label admin type dudes the most I imagine.
If you a broke artist who barely sell or tour nothing changed. and Megastars either still got money or can get another advance on their next album
The A&R dude who makes $200k a year and gotta maintain the millionaire lifestyle as an "influencer" probably hurting bad right now

nikkas call him this great lyricist but he been spitting similar bars to this the last decade. I wouldn't even be surprised if he dropped a song saying exactly that.

It’s been only a little over a month and this so called music/business giant Roc Nation finances not even strong enough to stay people payed for awhile

tells u a lot
Ticketmaster, Stubhub, and many others going through it now as well. Music will probably bounce back but lets be real.. most of these "B & C" level artists pretty much live paycheck to paycheck lifestyle just like a struggling joe working 9-5.

Live Nation Just Had Most Profitable Quarter Ever (Again) ... With more than 92 million concert tickets sold for 2019, Live Nation brought its year-to-date operating income to $408 million and AOI to $862 million for double digit growth in both areas.

- Billboard

I get what our saying ..but they should be able to float their employees for awhile.

But then again who knows what the future will look like for all entertainment ..

Their bread and butter is hosting concerts, merch, and special events. All of these things may not be possible until 2021 or later if there is no vaccine.

If stadium events are done...it is a wrap for them or many of their employees....

Why not? What did that industry look like in 1890? :jbhmm:
Thriving :ld:

As long as people have a desire to make and listen to music, which they have since the beginning of time, the industry will survive, whether it be through independent street performers and handwritten sheet music, or major label album sales and streaming services

Hmm...well everyone had to be able to read and write music to make a living in 1890 and most were in extreme poverty.

Not gonna happen in 2020 and many artists were already struggling before the pandemic....

Hopefully labels get wrecked and the independent can rise again.
