Jay-Z said no rapper can do a Verzuz with him because no one is on his level: “There’s not a chance anyone can stand on that stage with me”

Nas can't do "I Gave You Power", "Rewind", "Stillmatic Intro", "Mo Money, Mo Murda", "It's Mine" and those types of joints at Verzuz.

That's the kinda sh*t he can do at his own show. For Verzuz, it needs to be records like "Hate Me Now" and "Made You Look". It has to be tracks that everybody knows and would go crazy for. "Verbal Intercourse" wouldn't work in Verzuz, but "It Ain't Hard to Tell" would.
I’ll give you the bolded, but you crazy if you don’t think its mine wouldn’t have the crowd going crazy. Scarface beat hits with mobb deep, the crowd is going crazy.

Same with verbal intercourse, it’s highly regarded as the greatest feature, verse and posse cut of all time.

When are we gonna finally realize in a vz, its not about hits. People who will show up the vz, know both MC’s catalogs.

If Jay wants to play wack a$$ best of me mya song or female hit, nas can hit him with hot boyz.

The point is, these 2 are heavyweights, 2 🐐’s, there’s no easy win for any round.

My only point with Jay’s statement was that there’s MC’s that definitely can go round for round with him

:mjlol:

those are not songs built for Versus.

The Chronic and Doggystyle alone give Snoop enough ammo.
Then you don’t understand a versus. Snoop literally tried to go into his rapper bag versus DMX because of where he took it. If you honestly think that Jay Z can’t play songs like that with a whole versus production you’re not thinking clear. Listen to Jay himself “you got to stand in front of the Grammy family freestyle live.” He would go up there for 2 hours and give you everything you can imagine. He would start up with a song and be like nah we not doing that just to let you know what he could’ve done. Snoop would die. The fact that you think a versus is just a bunch of random hit records is why you think Snoop could compete. Jay would literally play the Still Dre versus and be like I created some shyt for yall and then go into another bag.

Drake
Kanye
Busta
Wayne
Kendrick

Would clear Hov in a versuz. Only way this nikka is winning anywhere with these nikkaz is in New York.
Kendrick still wouldn’t beat drake in a versus and he damn sure ain’t coming close to Jay. WTF are you talking about

And lol at future just leave this thread
Versuz is only 20 songs so it don't matter if you have a 5 year career or 20 years. If you have enough materiel to put 20 strong songs, that's all you have to do. Having an extensive catalogue can even be a weakness because now you have to choose between eras and vibes. Too much of a choice can be detrimental.

DMX Nas Busta Snoop even TI can compete with him easy
Just say y’all don’t like Jay and keep it moving. TI ain’t beating 50

If i'm not wrong, DMX challenged him for a Verzuz. Actually, he was the first name that he said at the time. I suppose they never got a response back (or maybe rejected) and ended up being Snoop.

Jay-Z is WASHING Eminem.

Y'all really put that cac on a higher pedestal than he needs to be. Eminem ain't even beating Gucci Mane in a Verzuz, no talk about Hov.
We can’t have this conversation if y’all going to have Al these extreme biases

"Verbal" is one of my favorite records of all-time, but it's not a record that's gonna kill at Verzuz. That's a laidback album cut.

It needs to be sh*t that would murder crowds! That's what Verzuz is. It's not just about being classic. It's an energy and impact thing. So for Nas, he can't be doing sh*t like "I Gave You Power" and a single verse off "It's Mine". It would need to be "Life's a B*tch" and sh*t like "Nas Is Like".

You have to move the crowd, but it also needs to be records that work live for every kind of listener. Casual and the day ones.

Jay's catalogue is full of sh*t like that. Dude probably has 84 of those kinds of records, lol.

The point wasn't using one album.

It was that that album alone out of his 12-13 or whatever, has enough tracks to kill sh*t. So if you throw in the other albums and all his features, dude is damn near unstoppable. Kanye's the only one that could f*ck with him.
Yes it was your point which is why you wrote it.
No it doesn't have enough at all to go hit for hit with any other big artist .

I literally wrote 6 folks that can go hit for hit with him and been in the game a less amount of time

Jay is funny. A few years back at the so so def anniversary concert JD wanted him to spit Jigga What Jigga Who verse and the crowd was DEAD SILENT 🤫

he quickly pivoted to his clique verse and they went crazy. He could get humbled by the audience :mjlol:

I wrote it because Verzuz is 20 songs.

The Blueprint alone has mad songs he could use. The point was that Jay has more songs than anyone else that he can throw in for a Verzuz. Nobody else, but Kanye, has that kind of stash.

Stop dikk riding breh the blueprint doesn't have enough hits to win a versus. Period.

Snoop, ll, Kanye, Wayne, pharell, JD, and drake can go 20 tracks against Jay-Z and beat him easily. Hell to could go at him for 20 tracks.
