Jay-Z says hip-hop is back in its prime

Todays hip-hop is decent but the last really great year was maybe 2008 or even 2011 if you drop the bar a bit.

Rap in 2007 & 08 was WOAT level. 2011 imo was when rap finally started getting better. Maybe even 2010 because of Kanye's MBDTF album. Can't remember if there was another album or 2 but yeah, rap is farrrr better now than it was from 07-09. You had some hits here and there but most of it was garage.
