vol 3 was the first jay album I didn't have to go back and get caught up on. when it dropped I was already hip to wtf was going on after vol 2. there was anticipation around it.

probably not his best album, but definitely a favorite of mine just because of the time period

I fukked heavy with Reasonable Doubt and Vol 1. The annoying non-stop Hard Knock Life craziness made me quit Volume 2 way earlier than I should have.

Volume 3 put me squarely back in Jay-Z's corner.
