Lol damn he threw this out here too convey his feelings and cats aRe tearing it apart not even getting the point. nikkas can't even stop their weirdo rap biases and see what's going on too black men inot America.

Because sincere Camel songs are the most insincere songs ever. Dude hasn't rapped about anything of substance for his entire career, now we're supposed to take this serious :russ:

That said I haven't heard it yet :dead:

As a Jay fan; i get why a lot of ppl wont get this.

New York Daily called this his first single since MCHG...The same album he dissed Civil Rights Activist Harry Belifonte (sp).

So, jigga; is it black girl lost or shorty owe u for ice.

I understand ppls position.

The sentiment that the civil rights movement failed our generation is something I've been hearing for a while now...that ain't come from Jay. And the whole point behind Nickels and Dimes was about empowering the black dollar and businessman. I feel like he had a right to respond to Belefonte saying he "turned his back on social responsibility" by not being on the soap box enough when the truth is we need economic power.

Making millionaires > Making speeches.

No excuse callin' Harry Belonfonate out of his name.

Some things transsent rap music.

Not really my point; this next week will ppl acting out emotionally, as humans do, and a lot will b said and done. Ppl gon have their 'come 2 Jesus' moment and a lot will b like fukk the police.

Its gonna b a weird time in Rap and the Internet in general.

I don't think it was his intention to diss Belafonte by calling him boy, Jay calls himself boy. That was obviously a misunderstanding, but to tell him to back off cause he doesn't know what he's talking about was justified. Jay has been doing plenty of things since 03-04 and onwards.

Belafonte said that he did nothing based on some dumb ass article analyzing one charity and said that they were one of the greatest abuses of modern times. As a grown ass man he has the right to respond if it isn't true, no matter who it is.

As far as giving a fukk in his music, he always gives lines. Rarely full songs but always mentions shyt. But the way Jay operates is to make the best and biggest music he can make in order to keep people fukking with Gina an generate revenue. He then uses that influence and money to make direct change. I.e. He rarely mix entertainment and making money with real issues. Except shyt like having that festival and targeting both the hood and the hipsters to connect people. He probably makes zero bucks of that though.
