Dame owns the Reasonable Doubt master copy tho, fukk a record label Jay gone loose this one, if he doesn't it's only because Dame cant afford the right lawyers:francis: Oh and Rockerfella is a defunct label they sold it to Def Jam and dont have any ownership. Def Jam doesn't even use the imprint.

The label doesn’t put out anymore music, it doesn’t mean that it doesn’t exist as an entity. Dame owning 1/3rds has been common knowledge since 2005

Non Fungible Tokens

So basically let's say I'm an artist / painter and I drew a picture of a sunset and wanted to sell it. I'd go to an auction house and people would bid and I'd get paid off the sale. Cool.

NFT's is the exact same thing but just with digital stuff online.

So let's say I made a funny cat gif and for some reason people were willing to pay money to "own" this SnowflakesByTheOZ cat gif I can sell it as an NFT.

Now because it's a gif and it's on the internet anyone can just copy it or save image it and it would be pretty much like owning it.. which makes sense.

But NFT's have this thing call a digital signature which is embedded in it by the original creator.

So anyone can save and duplicate the cat gif but there's only one original one that I made.

So whoever buys it will have the original funny cat gif.

And the thing with NFT's is that with every sale of it the original creator gets a share of the sale

So let's say the person that I sold the gif to wants to sell it to someone else... I would get a cut of that. And then if that person sells it to someone else , I get a cut from that etc etc.

If I'm understanding nft correctly...hip hop has a chance of returning!

If every rapper created their albums and songs as NFTs only...wouldn't they get that pay like they used too?

Throw the current model out and roll with this NFT thing? Get a piece every time it's duplicated and sold?

Dame wrong here but you nikkas sound crazy talking about Dame like he some bum leeching off Jay.. If Dame didn't give them peckerwoods and c00ns hell in them board rooms, Jigga wouldn't have been able to focus on his craftmanship as heavily or wouldnt have gotten far in this shyt like he did. Dame built this dudes confidence, helped bring life to his stage presence and took care of those headaches for him.

So you have the NFT and I can't access it

Why would I give any parts of a fukc

For instance I have MP3s of RD already

You making it an NFT doesn't come erase my MP3s.

And since its like that, I'm gonna email the MP3s to every contact on my list

In the case.of a dumb ass gif or YT clip... you own it now and I can't see it anymore. SO THE FUKC WHAT?

If I never see "Charlie Bit My Finger" again Ill be fine. I had forgotten about that bullshyt..

In short: this NFT shyt is stupid
All art is a scam

Nah. Ownership only matters if you have control over the item.

When a news show or tv show clip is shown on another show, a copyright is paid to use the image. There are teams of people responsible for clearing use of someone else’s stuff.

You and me and that dude burning music don’t care and ain’t paying.
