To be honest. Most successful entrpreneurs have more failure than success. You probably fail 85% of the time with many businesses. It's not easy at all. Can't use that as a gauge for anything.

That said, Jay was the talent and Dame was the business and push. Together they made it. Can't take that away no matter what.

This is true but a lot of the business Ventures that the Roc was involved with were still his ideas.

Rocawear, the Movie deal with Miramax/lionsgate whatever, etc.

He did need Jay's starpower to make them take off, but that's not a knock on his business acumen. Because they could've easily still failed with Jay.
