We don't want black celebrities claiming they run a team, when in reality they only own a fraction of a precent of the franchise, thus granting them a minimal amount of power towards directing the actions taken by said franchise. Jay already had that arrangement with the Nets, and all he did with it was gentrify Brooklyn.

I'm assuming he'll own more that 0.006% of the NFL team this time around, but he doesn't have the money to acquire a majority stake of an NFL franchise on his own, meaning he won't be the one calling the shots.
