What always pisses me off is how white people think if they get one big black person they get all black people. Sucking up to Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Jay-Z or whoever the flavor of the month is doesn’t make me anymore likely to support you.
They know it's always at least one famous black person that's willing to sell they people out for the dollar.

stop calling another man God the term hova gotta go.

No man that works for others and is contracted to tour at 50+ with a young family can became an owner in the NFL. He already tricked yall with the Bk nets you cant be this stupid man.
The thing about Jesse was that he used to make sure that niqqas got hired at the orgs he protested.

Youre shortchanging Jesse and obviously know little about his work

Somebody might have already said this, but they're not paying Jay-Z off to get black support. They're doing it because Jay gives them cover with white people.

"Oh, the NFL can't be racist, they're working with Jay-Z." It's a move to give white NFL fans another point to use as an argument in favor of the NFL and to support white logic (which of course differs from actual logic).

What does this do for anyone?

What does MJ and magic johnson owning team do for people?

I’m completely confused on why this should be celebrated and I’m not on any militant shyt

Black players have way more power and influence in the NBA, come on now. They straight up got Donald Sterlings ass out there in a heartbeat and LeBron is one of the most influential athletes on the planet.

In the NFL most of the owners are low key racist, vote for Trump, and are strongly against kneeling during the anthem even though the league is majority black. Black QBs still don't get the same respect and the league is too afraid to scare off it's racist ass cac fanbase. Massive difference from whatever point you're trying to make.

On God LeBron will own a team when he's done. How many black NFL players can you say will be able to have that influence? Not a single one you can name.

Because white people love to have talking points so that they can dismiss racism. See Trump supporters spouting off about black unemployment or criminal justice reform :mjpls: or "oh, he's friends with Kanye so he can't be racist."

It's not about gaining white support, it's about giving their white support talking points to disseminate.

fukk outta here. Donald Sterling was a known racist and was found guilty being country’s BIGGEST housing discriminator SEVEN YEARS before that tape dropped and his firing. He made HOF Elgin Baylor life a living hell for over a decade and the league did nothing.

This whole “got him outta here” charade shows that you didnt know shyt about Sterling’s cism prior to 2014

What? Of course they are. This is why white people do anything that might seem to address black concerns, so they can use it as evidence. "See, we're not racist." I just gave you real-life examples. Do you not understand politics in America, breh? :stopitslime:

Now these white NFL fans will be on Twitter shouting down criticism of the NFL with their "they partnered with this black thug, uh, I mean rapper, so we can stop talking about Kaepernick now because obviously, the league isn't racist." And it's not just the league, but the white sports media who will write articles about how the NFL has proven that they care about race issues. Breh, be smarter than this.

This doesnt have shyt to do with white people. There is nothing to win over with them because that battle has been won. This is just a coy move to lessen black criticism...doesnt have shyt to do woth white folks. Racism isnt on white folks radar. They dont give a fukk.

No, you don't know what you're talking about. You can look at Trump and see him literally do some shyt that he says is for black folks and then see white Trump supporters on twitter parrot his very words to prove that he (and they) are not racist and to shout down criticism.

You also are silly enough to believe that racism isn't on white folks' radar when all they do is whine about being called racist. The biggest fear of a white person is being labeled as racist, which explains why they grasp at anything ("I have a black friend!" "My grandchild is black!") to prove that they're not racist.

You keep talking about "win them over," maybe because you can't read, but I'm talking about "giving them cover." It happens all the time, I pulled examples, and you keep juelzing about oh it ain't about winning white people over. If you can't understand the post, maybe don't comment on it repeating the same dumbass rebuttal like you understand what I said in the first place.

League is old and needs new energy. Around 25-26 of the owners are older white men.

I’m not saying Kenny Stills recent comments about Stephen Ross drove this Roc Nation deal but I don’t think the league wanted that kind of spotlight on them again. Jay protects them in some respects.

Plus the Bills owner said this in a meeting

Pegula offered that he thought the league was battling a perception and “media problem.” He said it would be great for the league to find a compelling spokesman — preferably a player — to promote all of the good things they were doing together. He suggested that the league could learn from the gun lobby in this regard.

My thing is, most of the angst come from the league’s black players. Its all about tossing them a bone, doesnt have shyt to do with a base thsta already won over. They dont want anymore Kenny Stills, Eric Reids or Kaeps. They fear the black players uniting around this

The NFL dont want anymore Kenny Stills and Kaeps to worry about. Thats what this move is about, aint about white folks. White folks dont give two shyts.
