First of all, Jay has never rapped with Clipse and if youre picking a Jay Z feature for Pusha T, why not choose Drug Dealer’s Anonymous?

:patrice:

Secondly, how is this a bad verse?

[Verse 2: Nas]

Single-handedly boosted rap to its truest place
fukk speaking candidly, I alone did rejuvenate
Hip-hop into its newest place
Made it cool for Grammy nominated LP's from previous generation MC's
And that rings loud and reverberates
It's not fair to them, I'm thinking I deserve the hate
Bring it, the only thing you killing is precious time
Used to clash with Decepticons, I was dumb, deaf and blind
So cancel me before I unleash the panther me
The pantheon is a family, we some upstanding G's
The difference between regular spitters and bosses
My principles' high
You need a glimpse of me from satellites in orbit
Take sabbaticals on avenues
Bring AK's on vacay's when we paddle canoes
Follow the leader, Terminator Hasta la vista,
Man of the year Nasir, rockin' chandeliers

Nas's verse on this album sounds kinda weird, doesn't really fit the vibe of the album overall. Sounds like the beat and lyrics were leftover from one of his Hit-Boy projects

I agree with the Hit-Boy part. In fact, there's some songs on the new Clipse album that if the credits read "produced by Hit Boy", I wouldn't be surprised. Not that I think anything of it. Just that some of the album doesn't sound like Pharrell production. He went out of his comfort zone on some of the songs.

I liked Drug Dealers Anonymous the best

:manny:

Would have preferred Nas on the same beat Clipse was on with this new song that dropped

Just comparing the features, it's not close to me..

It's Jay, he's just a better fit.

I'm actually surprised people are saying Nas. Not to say his verse was bad
I picked him because Jay and Clipse never rapped together, so to me Nas is the default answer.

But Push and Jay on Drug Dealer's Anonymous is my favorite collab between Push and either Nas or Jay. That also wasn't an option.

Neck and Wrist is really dope to me but not on the same tier

Nas has no charisma anymore. You cant just say stuff. You have to add some pizzaz to it

Like seriously wtf does this mean

Made it cool for Grammy nominated LP's from previous generation MC's

Made it cool for who? :mjlol:

Saying you don't understand straightforward lines ain't the flex you think it is :mjlol:

Verse was recorded last year after Killer Mike won the best rap album Grammy. The year before Nas won the noms was Tyler, Dreamville, Meek, Cordae and 21. I ain't even saying it's a good line but it's obvious.

The fukk does this even mean. Yea, we dissecting songs and verses on the premiere album of the moment. As you should

:wtf: @ wanting a verse to be forgettable.
