Jay is the Kobe of rap. Didn't come out of the gate hot. Had to work for a few years to have success. Not as naturally talented as his peers. Hated on by the public. Compared ruthlessly to the top figures in his craft. Just like Kobe. Jay was the best rapper in the game in that 2000 to 2002 period. Being on Rocafella was like being on the Beatles. Yea, you had Ja and Nelly around but, I'mma still go with Hov. The fact that you had Jay, Beans, Freeway, State Prop, Cam and Dipset on one label shows you how hot he was, that it made us want to listen to the other guys around him. Nobody was listening to Cadillac Tah.

This is the absolute truth

nikkas call him the GOAT when he was never the actual greatest any year he was active. He’s the Carmelo Anthony of rap. He’s always been good but never the best. Imagine calling a nikka the greatest boxer and he never won a title.
This is actually closer to the Kobe Bryant debate that they're having in the Coliseum.

That's not true.

When black album dropped, I saw first hand all the kids in the projects in Miami of all places was singing Dirt of Your Shoulder and 99 Problems.

You tryna rewrite history to blatantly hate. Just stop.

The same year (2003) 50 Cent dropped which we hadnt seen such an initial huge impact of a debut since Snoop?

Try again
