Dope. It's interesting how English is often the class that sparks minds. Words, ideas, books. Even songs. I had teachers who would ask us to name our favorite songs, and then tell us to name a song that tells a story. Or a song that's about a topic beyond "i love you/I want to party/I'm breaking up with you." When you make kids realize a school subject isn't something foreign, it's actually something that surrounds them every day (words, music, etc) you can spark a mind.
