he hasn't done anything remarkable post Dame Dash but I'd argue that he wouldn't have continued to do shyt if Dame was still around. At some point, the suits finally figured out they they didnt need both of them to get output from Jay. It isnt like a Drake/40 situation where Drake is doing shyt without 40. Dame made moves but inflated his sense of expertise/worth/value to everyone and turned the JayZ bargaining chip into the Dame bargaining chip. Rather than call his bluff, the suits told him to fukk off and presented Jay with the same type of deal that Justin got when he left NSync and when Beyonce left Destinys Child. Why drag all the deal weight around when we can pay you more for you to just DO YOU.

at some point, he got the picture and decided that he didnt wanna be around dusty State Property dudes, Harlem cats like the Diplomats and a ringmaster like Dame. Even tho Dame showed more interest in Kanye, Ye STILL went with Jay because Jay prolly promised to help elevate his situation, which in turn has help Jay clock some MAJOR bonus time in extending his career.

I'm fascinated by the game, so even though I've never been a fan of Jay-Z or Kobe Bryant. I still want to see where their career goes.

So, it would be interesting to see the risk Jay takes alienating his audience hurts him or not. So, far this guy has not lost yet, so its hard to bet against him.

Beyonce is a force, but she sticks to what she does well, and doesn't dilute herself.

Rolling Stones made 1.3 billion dollars touring, so this music thing is nothing to sneeze at.

Drake doesn't want the backlash, so he is quietly fulfilling his obligations, but when these contracts are up, he'll probably venture on his own like Ross. If he did it now, you can imagine the pressure Baby would put on him, those YMCMB shirts are pathetic enough. Now it would be YMOVOCMB, Minaj has called Drake on 3 or 4 different occasions, so people definitely feel it in the air.

Embarrassing to say the least. Why does a rapper feel the need to put out a line? More importantly, why do people feel the need to support this just because it's Jay Z?

Where people get it twisted is that they'd be better off supporting a local indy black designer who actually has a hot collection for 1/3rd of the price, than buy this overpriced garbage because it's "stamped" by Jay Z. Get something hotter, more unique stylish, support an actually black designer on the rise.and save some money in the process. Is that not a win win?

I'm tired of black celebrities lumping themselves into everything and anything for a buck, let everyday black people shine and blow up, not just celebs. The consumer mindset that they HAVE to support Jay Z is sickening as well...because like I said, there's an aspiring black designer out there who's got a hot line for 1/3rd of the price..and you're too blinded by Jay Z..thinking it's the only way to support black people.

It boils down to insecurity and validation.

Didn't know if it was a dude or a bytch, so when typing 70+ words per minute, I just say themselves instead of "himself" or "herself" without know what "it" is...

And black people wonder why were getting pushed out of our neighborhoods so easily. So quick to drop money on some dumb shyt tryin' to front while owning 0 in appreciating assets. I brush shoulders with well off folks and you wouldn't be able to tell they were wealthy just by looking at them. Most of them wear regular inexpensive clothes and drive medium range to older model cars, but will live in 800k to million dollar plus homes that will continue to appreciate in value. SMH. Black people got the entire game ass backwards.

Yup, that excessive materialism will fukk us up for good. Cats do that shyt to pretend to live like a damn rapper or to impress birdbrain hoes.

I don't know why people are complaining about the prices.

I'm pretty sure the people that this collection was targeted to are the rich kids of Instagram. Ain't nobody with a 50K salary affording anything. This shyt is winter time throwaway money to rich kids. Plus its Christmas season too!

A 700 dollar ski mask isn't shyt to a kid pulling 200K+ a year not even including their parent's income. KTT has some rich kids on there.

To be fair to him he's been a millionaire for almost 2 decades at this point...We would all probably lose touch too..

Hip hop needs new leadership...

Yeah, Jay-Z played the daddy role for too long. Made a generation of superficial ass dudes, birdbrain ass women that check for "swag" over common sense, and told dudes what to buy. We be better off listening to Kendrick.

And y'all talk about kanye. Kanye APC collection is around $120-265. Meanwhile, Jay "fukk poor black people" Z has 58,000 dollar jackets and $700 ski mask. Disgusting. How can you jigga warriors stand by a person who doesn't even want you to afford his own items? How can you stan properly or ride his coat tails when half his fans can't afford this overly crap designed trash?. This is worst than Rocawear.

58k jacket is Audi money or a down payment for a condo. That is beyond senseless, even if I was a multi-millionaire
