Let's say grandma had balls...Could we then call her grandpa?
So let's see how this takes a jump from basically amounts to something like a concert to the "closest thing to a minstrel show any of us will witness in our life time"
- Trayvon Martin
- Jay Z said nikka in front of white people who happened to be there
- He did the kid n play dance with one of his fans...in front of white people who happened to be there
- He let a little boy (white) wear his chain
You put a lot of talking points together but they don't really add up to what you are describing when you take an objective look at them, it really just seems like you had your mind made up about how you were going to view it before you pushed play on the video, but i'll respect your mind on that. I just don't see how any of that is particularly offensive or minstrel like, I think you would have to be actively looking for it to actually see it that way, but that's just me.
It's kinda weird how some people (not you necessarily) especially on the "pro-black" front flip flop between not caring what white people think about black affairs and all of a sudden wanting to police another black persons actions, not because they are wrong period but because white folks happen to be around.
Lets say he keeps his chain on...and lets pretend we just edited out the ultra jiggaboo kid n play shuffle, is it still a minstrel show? What if we rearranged the numbers so that it wasn't so many white people there, would that make it better?
What are we doing here?
I'm just commenting on how I preceived the facts of what occured...
