All media hype, lot of big names, it was his “last album” etc etc.
Album sucks and is boring except for maybe 3-4 good tracks.
But definitely Jays last listenable album.

Yeah, Jay was BEYOND corny at that point...calling himself the Mike Jordan of recording...like wtf you accomplished Jay?
Jay was irrelevant during the 90’s golden era, he was around since BDK/JAZ, older than Big, PAC, Nas, MOBB shyt I could keep going.
Jay wasn’t on anyone’s top 100 rapper charts in the 90’s (prolly not top 200 either)...Jay had the Annie song in 98 which only blew up cuz the chicks liked to sing along with that hook and everybody already knew it.
He had a few popular singles all completely due to Neptunes/Kanye/Just. That’s it. Like Nas said, no stripes. What did Jay accomplish to claim all that?

He’s nothing but marketing. Just cuz he told you he was the GOAT 1000 times in his songs doesn’t make it true. But that marketing will make you believe it is.
