I had to hustle, my back to the wall, ashy knuckles
Pockets filled with a lot of lint, not a cent
Gotta vent, lot of innocent of lives lost on the project bench
Whatchu hollerin? Gotta pay rent, bring dollars in
By the bodega, iron under my coat, feelin braver
Doo-rag wrappin my waves up, pockets full of hope
Do not step to me - I'm awkward, I box leftier often
My pops left me an orphan, my momma wasn't home
Could not stress to me I wasn't grown; 'specially on nights
I brought somethin home to quiet the stomach rumblings
My demeanor - thirty years my senior
My childhood didn't mean much, only raisin green up
Raisin my fingers to critics; raisin my head to the sky
Big I did it - multi before I die (nikka)
No lie, just know I chose my own fate
I drove by the fork in the road and went straight

Although Em went in too...Jay slayed both Renegade verses

Da Magnolia
D'Evils - 2nd verse
Thinking back when we first learned to use rubbers
He never learned so in turn I'm kidnapping his baby's mother
My hand around her collar, feeding her cheese
She said the taste of dollars was shytty so I fed her fifties...
:whoo:

Lucifer - 3rd verse
I got dreams of holding a nine milla to Bob's killer
Asking him "why?" as my eyes fill up
These days I can't wake up with a dry pillow
Gone but not forgotten, homes I still feel ya...
:wow:

D.O.A. - 3rd verse
Hold up, this shyt need a verse from Jeezy
I might send this to the mixtape Weezy
Get somebody from BMF to talk on this
Get this to a Blood, let a Crip walk on it
:ahh:

Renegade
Motherfukkers say that I'm foolish I only talk about jewels
Do you fools listen to music or do you just skim through it?
See I'm influenced by the ghetto you ruined
That same dude you gave nothing, I made something doing
What I do, through and through
:salute:

Dynasty Intro
Never read the Qur'an or Islamic scriptures
Only psalms I read was on the arms of my nikkas
Tattooed so I carry on like I'm non-religious
Clap whoever stand between Shawn and figures
:whew:

Where Have You Been
I wanted to walk just like him
Wanted to talk just like him
Often momma said I look too much
And I thought just like him ...

:mjcry:

22 Two's
At your wake as I peek in, look in your casket
Feeling sarcastic, "Look at him, still sleeping"
You never ready, forever petty minds stay petty
Mine's thinking longevity until I'm seventy, living heavenly...
:myman:

Beach Chair
Life is but a dream to me
Gun shots sing to these other guys
But lullabies don't mean a thing to me
I'm not afraid of dying, I'm afraid of not trying
:obama:

Most Kingz
Hov got flow though he's no Big and Pac, but he's close
How I'm 'posed to win? They got me fighting ghosts
Most kings get their heads cut off
With the same sword they knight you they gon' good night you with
:ehh:

Lucky Me
Swear to everything when I leave this earth
It's gon' be on both feet, never knees in the dirt
You could try me fukka but when I squeeze it hurts, fine
We'll lose two lives, yours and mines
:demonic:

My personal favorite Joe Cam track :lawd: :ohlawd:

Grown man I put hands on you
I dig a hole in the desert, they build The Sands on you
Lay out blueprint plans on you
We Rat Pack nikkaz, let Sam tap dance on you
Then, I Sinatra shot ya God damn you
... I put the boy in the box like David Blaine
Let the audience watch, it ain't a thang
Y'all wish I was frontin, I George Bush the button
For the oil in your car lift up your hood nikka run it
Then lift up your whole hood like you got oil under it
Your boy got the goods y'all don't want nuttin of it
Like, castor oil, I Castor Troy you
Change your face or the bullets change all that for you
... y'all nikkaz is targets
Y'all garages for bullets, please don't make me park it
in your upper level, valet a couple strays
from the 38 special, nikka, God bless you

I agree. I think it's lazy to say that Em bodied Jay because they have different styles and flows, if you actually listen to what Jay was saying, you'd see that he was going toe to toe with him.

Agree in full. Eminem's verses were technical as hell but they are talking about two different struggles and Jay not only brings the fire lyrically in both verses but the story tellin is :whoo:

I can't be the only one feeling Young G's like that....I feel like that verse gets forgotten. I'd have to put in PhD level research to determine my top ten, but this has long been my favorite:

1:51

These here's the dog years and motherfukkers don't shed
I try to bring you life but motherfukkers want dead
So I travel with the barrel, with the chrome, with the lead
Cause when it's on, then it's on, the shots flowin through your head
I been rich I been poor I saved and blown bread
Some say I been here before because of the way I zone
Some said, Jigga zone is like the fallin of Rome
Reoccuring, that he thinks like that cause he's observant
Won't be known until I'm gone and nikkaz study my bones
Mentally been many places, but I'm Brooklyn's own
In the physical, unseen, like a lost body
In fact my thoughts don't differ much from that of God body
But it's the odd shottie, that got cats, likening me
to the mob John Gotti, rap dudes bitin me 'cause
I got it locked like the late Bob Marley
Pardon me y'all, the great Bob Marley
Solemnly we mourn, all the rappers that's gone
nikkaz that got killed in the field and all the babies born
Know they ain't fully prepared for this New World Order
So I keep it ghetto like sunflower seeds and quarter waters
You walk em through it, you know, talk em through it
Know these beats is more than music whenever I talk to it
Destined for greatness and y'all knew this, when I doubled the pie
Had a shorty and a girdle comin out of B-W-I (in school)
I hated algebra but I loved to multiply
And I told my nikka Big I'd be multi before I die
It's gonna happen whether rappin or clappin have it your way
Cause if that's my dough you're trappin, I'm clappin your way
Just those ghetto....:wow:

I'm not sure that it was recorded during the time Big was alive...that was a true "pass the baton" performance by Jay.
