Vol 2 is the first album dudes in Texas really began messin with Jay.

I bought it b/c dudes told me it was hot, but I never liked it much. Production was boring to me and back then as a youngin I didn't care much about what Jay was sayin

the fillers are...???

I never cared for that Paper Chase joint with Foxy, but I don't think the album is packed with throwaway joints.

Now if you wanna talk about throwaways, let's talk Vol. 3... you got that "Pop 4 Roc" joint with Bleek, Beanie, & Amil which is definitely no "4 Da Fam"... Then there's "S. Carter" with the :snooze: beat and Amil on the hook... there's "Watch Me" which is just kinda there... "NYMP" which for some reason Jay happens to like a lot but is pretty much a stock Jay song... "Things That U Do" which is just weak as fukk all the way around... He's got some good shyt on the album, but a good half of it is take or leave. And this is when he was viewed as "that nikka"... I always thought it was a weak showing for him.

I didn't care for that things that you do either. This album came out when I was in high school and I used to drive my girlfriend and my little cousin to school every day. I'd try to skip over that joint and they would have a fit until I flipped back.

They would be in the car like :ohlawd: :stylin:

I'd be sitting there like

Hov's fourth best album, criminally underrated.

Maybe it's because of the other albums that came out that year (Aquemini, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, It's Dark and Hell Is Hot etc) or because people tend to focus on the singles but I don't think there's one skippable track between 2-12 and any album with six classic tracks is pretty special.

Vol.1 & 3 were the real tragedies.

Volume 3 can't be a tragedy just because So Ghetto, Dopeman, and Hova Song are three of the best tracks in his entire catalog.
