Damn Camel
In 97 you was the man camel...

The fukk happened to you?

Im at work bumpin' Vol. 1 n I can't help but reminisce over how smooth and ill with the flow was this nikka :ahh:

This nikka used to ooze coolness and his slick talk over these smooth ass beats used to appear so natural... That was my hungry camel :mjcry:

How did he turn into such a cringeworthy forcin' hisself on nikkaz type a nikka in a 12 year span?

Back to the topic, This is most def. jiggas most underrated album... fukk with me nikkaz

Album is so damn underrated. Lyrically Jay was so on point on this album. Some of my favorites songs he ever did were on this like the Intro, Streets is Watching, Friend or Foe 98, Imaginary Player, Rap Game Crack Game, Where Im From

:ohlawd:
I feel ya

ether day is close and I wanna show some love to the camel before shyttin' on him again

It's a weird album.

It has some of Hov's best stuff.....those last two tracks in particular. Also Imaginary Players, the intro.

But at the same time there's something about it that feels off. It's a transitional album. Hov ain't quite the superstar yet and whilst there's traces of RD era Hov, you can tell he's already dumbing it down. Plus the fact he's jumping on the whole Bad Boy sound feels like a forced attempt to fill Biggie's shoes.

His later stuff comes across more natural and distinctive.

I give it 8/10

The Opposite Of Elliott Wilson's Mohawk
Yea Jay was lookin to cash in heavy, but he went too shiny suit

The transition from RD to Vol 2 is pretty incredible, dude is shrewd as fukk.

Vol 1 is a great disc as well minus the low points. :skip: @ him dissing Mase right before a Bad Boy feature :dead:

"Where I'm From" is so filthy to this day I can't listen to that joint without a grimace on my face :birdman:

"I'm from where they cross-over and clap boards :ohhh:
Lost Jehovah in place of rap lords, listen :lupe:
I'm up the block, around the corner and down the street
From where the pimps, prostitutes and the drug lords meet
:win:
We make a million off of beats, cause our stories is deep :manny:
And fukk tomorrow, as long as the night before was sweet :youngsabo:
nikkas get lost for weeks in the streets, twisted off leek :wtf:
And no matter the weather, nikkas know how to draw heat :demonic::whew:
Whether you're four-feet :camby: or Manute size,:whoo: it always starts out with
Three dice and shoot the five:smugbiden:
nikkas thought they deuce was live, :shaq2:now I hit 'em with trips :mjpls:
And I reached down for their money, :whoa:pa forget about this:ufdup:

And this Glock on my waist, y'all can't do shyt about this :yeshrug:
