Then why the fukk was he playing then?

I've read that A partially torn meniscus can heal naturally without surgery. He just needs time now
Tore my meniscus approx a year ago. Doc said in the past they'd fix it with surgery but thinking has changed and it's generally preferable to let it heal and do rehab. Because I think with surgery you're trimming part of meniscus.

Obviously the extent of the tear matters as well but I'd assume JB will have a much easier rehab with world class doctors and being in his physical prime :dame:instead of being a washed
coli breh. That being said the point he needs to get to is much higher than for me where I just need to be able to climb stairs or go hiking. He's getting paid to rehab ostensibly.

FACTS

Depending on how severe it is, a partially torn meniscus can heal on its own in 4-8 weeks.

Considering that this happened in March, if he would have sat down instead of playing through it with pain injections, he would have been healthy in time for the Knicks series.

They had been locked into the 2 seed since fukking Christmas, and could have beaten the Magic without him. He shouldn't have been playing. This is on him and the Celtics medical staff. :manny:

For sure. On the Jaylen end of it, I fukks with it. And he actually played pretty well considering this injury. But Joe Mazzulla knowing this a month ago should have played his bench more. Would have saved Jayson and Jaylen in the long run

THIS.

This seems like something the front office should be side eyeing Mazzulla for if they were all aware of it. It's not worth his job, but he should've been bending over backwards to get him to 100%. They'd still be a pretty good team if Tatum was out and Brown was healthy.

He and Kerr are the only chip coaches in the last decade that still coach the squad they won with.
