I'd say late 98 early 99 was his absolute hottest and still he was in DMX shadow.... Hov is like Bill Gates, where someone different is the richest man in the world every year, yet Hov was always consistently no.2 or 3 during his prime. What's the saying "Why live like a King for a year, when you can live like a prince forever"

I think even though Jay was constantly outsold his albums were better every year than most. He put out some quality albums

He was on top of his business every damn year. Meanwhile, most of his peers were spending their money on rims and chains instead of handling their business.
