I actually liked JBones beat simply because of that synth. It went surprisingly well with the sample while the sample sounded so old. Like from when there werent synths etc. yet
Gave it to him.

Great work from both you guys!

7mile to SE & Uptown!
both of these go hard :whoo:
First time hearing @JBone4eva and the way he chopped that sample was dope as hell. Good shyt...looking forward to hearing more of your work :myman:
@franknitty711 's Son JRB is one of my favorite beatmakers PERIOD right now. Which is extraordinary considering he is only 13 or some shyt and has only been producing for a year or so :wow: his sound is tailor made for Detroit/the Bay and as usual this shyt slap :picard:
This is one of the better "showcases" in a minute and I think choosing a WINNER comes down to preference. Jbone is a new sound and this board actually prefers the sample based tracks ESPECIALLY when they are executed well and creative. Can't pick a winner yet but I'm going to ride for a minute with both of these and come back at a later time :obama:

It is time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This match features a new arrival @JBone4eva taking on one of the fastest improving producers the coli has ever witnessed JRB son of @franknitty711

Lets get Straight to the music!

@JBone4eva

@franknitty711 /JRB

I had to take out a scorecard for this one sheesh
Since I already mentioned both tracks are dope let me get straight into the critique and why I voted the way I did

As far as drums @franknitty711 (JRB) gets really high marks in the drums category that 808 is crazy. The drums were preferable on this track. This sounds like something that if replayed could be used in a Nike ad.

@JBone4eva had a preferable arrangement throughout the verse and the outro is something that stays with you musically

If I could take both of these beats and merge them together I would.
As for the mix its pretty even. I just with the synth that happens for the hook on @JBone4eva wasn't as loud as it is in the mix.

As per this showcase The arrangement of @JBone4eva wins out .

But if @franknitty711 can get that piano redone and changed slightly (so we don't have to deal with Sample clearances) I may be able to get that to an ad agency. let me know.

Dope battle with 2 very good beats

voted for JBones based off the unique creativity it had. shyt was a real head nodder. Lots of dope sounds, great vibe. good shyt breh.

Franks beat was dope too, had a nice catchy melody, but just not as creative as JBs beat.
