been down since June of 09 and just like this thread, people been sayin the same shyt since they heard him on A Star is Born. Crazy how far he's come. Went to the show last month and it was crazy to see it sold out, rocking to every word. Not too many cats can do they whole album in front of 20,000+.

I wouldn't exactly say people hate J.Cole but people agreed over time that some his content can be boring. As a former J. Cole stan I've always wanted him to drop a great album but it has never happened. A lot of 6 and 7 type albums. Kendrick did it, Drake did it, why can't you Cole? 
He continues to use the same formula:
3-4 great tracks and the rest are cringe-worthy:
Sideline Story: Rise and Shine, Breakdown, Sideline Story/Nobodys' Perfect?
Born Sinner: Villuminati, Let Nas Down, Forbidden Fruit. Had the best songs imo
FHD: January 26th, GOMD, Apparently, No Role Modelz. Album sold well but is very overrated.
He lost his hunger imo and which is why I'm no longer a huge fan like I once was.

2014 Forest Hills Drive was that album, breh. Love Yourz, '03 Adolescence, Fire Squad, Tale of Two Citiez, etc. were all great.
shyt, Born Sinner was fukking great too. Cole has been doing cole. Only his first album was a mess with old records and no direction and what not. Everything else Cole has put out has been dope. And sideline story had a bunch of dope records too.
