The second apron seems to scare teamsThe only people worried about this is people rooting for other teams & basing it off some shyt a decade+ ago when literally every team was in a panic over the luxury tax because it was new.
They were a top spending team during the PG years & people still talking about what happened in 2012. It will also help that there won't be a new CBA right when their paying JDub & Chet that adds new rules & screws up everything.

Much more than the original luxury tax. SGA will be the highest paid player after next season. Chet will earn more money than Hartenstein. But the a gin from what I read and hear on you local media podcast and forums, OKC fans seem to think that Presti will play hardball with Chet because of the durability issues…
He’s worth it so based off what @DoubleJ13 is saying, he’ll get it. This ain’t the old OKCHis agent isn't gonna accept anything less than a full max

The way the contracts are lined up, i'd heard/read they wouldn't have to worry about giving him and Chet the max until Caruso and IHart's deals are about done. That they'll eventually be facing a similar situation as DEN, MIL, PHX where they're front-loaded with 3 max slots and will have to either take the tax hit for expensive depth or keep on drafting young guys ready to contribute. His agent isn't gonna accept anything less than a full max

The criticism was valid. He struggled finishing at the rim this series. He was like 45% from 6 feet.He was arguably OKC's best performer in the 1st round, and then came through in Game 7 after some bouts of inconsistency. I seen there's been far too much criticism of his game these playoffs when despite his lack of scoring in some games, his BBIQ always allows him to have meaningful impact elsewhere.
It's gonna be hard to fill the team with quality role players if you max out both JDub and Chet. I think only one of them gets offered a full maxWhy wouldn't OKC give him the max
This is for the playoffs (up to this point) -The criticism was valid. He struggled finishing at the rim this series. He was like 45% from 6 feet.
Compare that to Cason Wallace who was at 55%.
Williams is a problem and can get better but the critiques were legit.
Even you can admit he’s not a superstar even at his oncoming peak. OKC should be able to get some good pieces for him when that sign & trade come aroundHe was arguably OKC's best performer in the 1st round, and then came through in Game 7 after some bouts of inconsistency. My post was about round two. Finishing at the rim is easier in transition than through bodies in half court. Denver gave more defensive resistance than the Grizzlies. This is for the playoffs (up to this point) -

He was inconsistent in the 2nd round, but the criticism he's received hasn't been warranted when you take into account the sample size, as a whole, because he leads the team in attempts in the RA on virtually the same efficiency as Shai. And you can't really compare Cason with him because of the volume disparity.
I don't think a whole lot of folks actually paid attention to him in the 1st round and only tuned in to watch him against Denver.
I like what he's been doing on both ends because he has shown up when needed to and he doesn't get too much in the videos. His playmaking has been a beacon of light because he always makes sure everyone is connected on any given possession, which is rare for a sidekick to do because they can resort to just wanting to get theirs without taking the team into account.
He's got an old head on young shoulders, in a lot of respects. A vet without the actual experience.
And I can see something like that being a difference maker against a mentally-loose team like the T'Wolves.
