I remember when some brehs got expelled for 2 yrs for a fight on school grounds in my city. Jesse Jackson showed up because he and all of us felt that severe of a punishment was racially motivated. He got arrested for trespassing. Then white racists started talkin' shît. We were ready for them bîtches too. Nothing popped off, though.

The first Black man to run for President, and doing it convincingly. A man MLK trusted.
Barack Obama is a once in a lifetime leader, and the way being paved for that generational leader to become President is something Reverend Jackson deserves credit for.
Whatever your thoughts on gay people, he was the first Presidential candidate to make equal rights for them a big part of his campaign.
Nobody is perfect: there are plenty of people here who don't love him, still - let's acknowledge he did A LOT for Black people. May he rest easy.

Hell, I can't even imagine the violence and hatred he and others from the civil rights era had to go through. I take shît like walking in a store or restaurant freely for granted
