THe production on this shyt is crazy to me,wasnt too hyped for this album til I heard "Round Here" and realized the album was about to come out....this shyt had 0 buzz for a Jeezy album:mjcry:...ALotta the production sounds like some classic west coast production with a modern day twist:banderas:

Overall what I like Jeezy best for is what he does as a rapper, and I gotta say I do feel like that "transition" has something to do with it....I blame Jay-Z who it seems like Jeezy sees as a mentor due to the things they have in common, every piece of advice I've heard Jeezy say Jay gave em,all of its great in keeping Jeezy out of jail and making him a successful business man, making money as a future exec.....But what about the music:mjcry:

When Jeezy was in that interview talking about how he has to think about what he's rapping about now,i knew things would never be the same:snoop:....the last true Jeezy project that was classic to me was the "Its the World" mixtape, that shyt was arguably better than anything after tm102 and that's saying a lot,cuz he dropped a lot of good shyt post 102 obviously.

I definitely salute his growth as a man somebody who wants to be a leader,I will try to make the transition as a fan and listen to him in a new way without certain expectations....But I really dont want to hear a artist growth as a man in his music, growth as a musician is fine, but maturity:comeon:?

With that said the album is still nice and Jeezy still hasn't dropped a dud:blessed:?The first few tracks start it off very weak which isn't typical, but from there I liked the majority of the album....the only difference for me that I'm not used to with Jeezy is I didn't find myself hitting rewind for quotables, didnt find myself hanging on the words of the god this time:mjcry:.....not as many clear standout songs as usual, but I will be playing this album in rotation for a week or so I estimate, cant make no promises past that.

Musically though,songwise Jeezy came through.

speaking of him, where has he been and what?
it was actually his protege, D. Rich :mjcry:

he not in jail no more he be doing shyt i dont think he work with jeezy no more :mjcry:

the best tracks are the intro and the 2nd track and one more, all done by D. Rich. The other tracks sound...weird...like whoever made the beats was novices.

This is TM103 level of "do I want to finish this today? Or can I come back to it when I'm bored?"

I'm all for growth but I want full growth. Full transition, not just the message behind the album but the music also. He's still making the same type of songs over trap beats. His flow hasn't change at all. There's little to no concept in the songs, the second half is just boring. A veteran like Jeezy doesn't need a 19 track album to get his message across. One of the forefathers of trap needs some sons or at least some better producers to help with this. The beats on this sound dated, like 2010 old. I know he's cool with Ross now, he couldn't tap one of his producers for this?

I wouldn't call it garbage but it's not one of his better efforts.
