He already has the world at his fingertips. He'd actually lose power. There's a reason why guys like Gates, Zuckerberg, Ellison, etc. have not gone into politics.

Trump being a failed businessman is the exact reason why he's in politics. He's dirty as shyt, super connected to very shady people, and doesn't have any principles. It's natural for him in a way that's not for actual successful CEOs.

But think about, Trump has been able to buck every "norm"

He essentially still runs his branding business.

Countries all over the globe pay upsell to stay at a Trump branded facility.

Imagine Bezos with no regard for law like Trump but far smarter/wealthier/powerful right off of the bat.

No law or "constitution" would effectively stop him

He doesn’t want the oversight or restrictions on his life being President would bring.

Trump is a two bit con man with mob ties. Again, he’s up there because he enjoys the attention. He enjoys the rallies, the crazy things people do in his name, and power associated with his name. He views himself as a brand. Not only that, he owes a lot of people favors. There is repayment associated with him becoming president.

Bezos doesn’t operate that way and never has. He’s set the course for his company to continue to grow indefinitely. That’s why he took a step back to work on pet projects. The only reason we heard about him until now was because his net worth was continuing to explode.

Bezos is where he is because he correctly better on the laziness of the average American.

He undercut Walmart by eliminating the need for stores and customer service representatives and middlemanning the trade of goods directly from china to hyper consumerist populations.

I'm guessing he's being proactive and trying to jump in front of the backlash China is about to receive to maintain his company's position as top retailer before some company comes along touting locally made goods and does to him what he did to Walmart.

You don't become the world's richest man by being stupid...
