You can breathe and live anywhere on earth outside of the Poles. You can't do anything in space, and if you think space will be accessible like flying to Las Vegas for average ppl, you're mistaken.

Even if I had $100 million, I wouldn't spend $20million of it on space. They already said Bezos can write his trip off on taxes.

That doesn't take away from the overall point, which is that this is the necessary baby step we needed to advance.

There's already theory that we can make Mars air breathable by introducing hydroponic plants, water from ice asteroids and greenhouse gases. Who knows what could happen.

I agree with this. I'm not into shaming ppl for their choices with their money.

I mean, I get it, and in a perfect world, billionaires should invest in improving the lives of their fellow man and woman.

But let's be real. Most of these ppl who are complaining are only complaining cause it's not them.

If they had the type of money Bezos and others have, they would be doing the same things that Bezos and others are doing.

When people talk about how they'd be a billionaire the right way, they never factor in how detached from everything you inevitably become to even get to a billion dollars

I'm not sure if humans could safely eat synthetic food. And we wouldn't want to, we like our delicacies.

It's not like there's anything out there anyway, no reason not to make use of Mars. I could see if we knew there were martians out there but we don't. It's no different from a plot of land.
