Honestly I bet the extension was a ruse due to the relationship between Fisher's agent and the Rams front office. I'm sure they had a backroom deal to create an "extension" and re-write the contact so the buyout took care of Fisher (and his agent) before letting him walk

They just said on espn he got the extension in the summer but the team just didn't report it and somebody from Fishers camp told the media about it last week

He's still gonna get paid for the rest of this season and next season too
