I think he should have gotten fired because it did seem as though he had lost the team and players started tuning out as shyt went downhill, but there's no excuse for keeping the GM that created a lot of this mess and mismatched parts in the first place.

The Suns were supposed to tank two years ago but they over achieved and as a result Sarver wanted to get back in the playoffs.

I read somewhere the GM McDonough mentioned how he has to rebuild and try to contend on the fly.

If anybody should get the blame it's Sarver cause he is too impatient.

The Gm is terrible we will take Hornacek in Charlotte he will be fine though underrated imo.

The problem with the nba is middle tier teams dont know to improve. Suns had money and cap room with dragic and bledsoe. Instead of improving the team they go get a third pg. Team chemistry gets bad and both dragic and thomas are gone with knight being only decent player. Then they overpay chandler thinking they r getting aldridge n now they are fu*ked for years.

That GM really did a number on that team. I was pretty envious of how fast their turnaround was as a Lakers fan (and pissed for the whole Nash thing) so I'm not TOO mad. But smh. That GM needs a lot of the blame.

He clearly lost the team, but the awful build of this roster never helped him out in the first place. Not to say he hadn't been outright shytty in the last little while either.


He had Dragic/Bledsoe in a perfect pairing and ruined it by making Bledsoe the PG over Dragic even though he was fine as the SG. That was the start of his downfall as they've been pretty much shyt ever since. He had Isaiah off the bench and couldn't get that to work either. They had a lot of great pieces that they just never kept or got to gel and now they're stuck with a bunch of mismatched parts.

Bledsoe is a terrible shooter tho. I see what Jeff was doing making Dragic the shooting guard. Just a horrible all around mix
