According to Jehovah's Witnesses, this man is part of what they call the faithful and discreet slave, the only channel of God-given truths on the earth today.

You'd think someone speaking for an almighty god would have something more profound or relevant to talk about than tight pants, not to mention confusing Spanx with spandex.

I know plenty of JWs who would give you the shirt off their back. Many of them are good people. But they all buy into Jw doctrine and Bible teachings, despite the insurmountable evidence against it.

I read somewhere that the majority of JWs in the US are black. In Chicago, there are hundreds of congregations, many of which are predominantly black. Many black people have JW relatives or were raised as a Witness. The indoctrination is so strong that many who left the religion as they grew up still believe it's the truth and will defend it. There's even some who defend it here on the Coli or will accuse me of lying (some of whom I tagged in this thread @Teedot @Will Ross ), but they can never point out where I've been dishonest in anything I've said about JWs.

There's no reason for a large subsection of black people to be worshipping a cac who says God hates tight pants.

Samuel Herd is their token black member.

As far as eating the emblems go, the only ones who are supposed to eat them are the "anointed" (or those who supernaturally "know" they're going to heaven).

The majority of JWs do not eat the Memorial emblems because they believe they're going to live forever on earth.

Sometimes, in congregations, you'll have some mentally unstable JW who thinks they've received divine revelation and will partake of the emblems.

It's misinformation like that or "JWs don't believe in Jesus" that make it hard for JWs to see the actual flaws in the organization.

No Asians on the Governing Body although there are plenty of Asian JWs.

Bread and wine is passed in every congregation around the world on the night of the Memorial and usually is provided from a local source.

The majority of JWs just pass it along and don't partake, but any with the "heavenly hope" are supposed to eat and drink.

That religion is trash . But very effective at brain washing and breaking up family's.
