Man... This blew up far more than I thought it would. I was listening to it live when it happened and was like "wow, they had beef"; then I saw the video on here and was like "oh, that was for real for real".... Still didn't think it was gonna have the blowback it did, with folks talking about it on twitter and coming for Skip's neck. Might have to tune into the start of tomorrow's show and see if they address it.

Skip is so hated within the industry people were just waiting for the opportunity to go at him.

People need to stop taking Skip so seriously. He's playing a character on TV. The whole point of that character is to have an impact. If he was just some mild mannered guy on TV nobody would watch. His constant criticism of LeBron James for example is just an act. I watch the guy for the shock value of what he'll say next but I don't take it too serious.

I remember hearing Colin Cowherd say on ESPN on time that he likes the hate mail more than fan mail, because hate mail means you care more, and in his line of work, the one thing you can't be is irrelevant; you have to move the meter one way or another.



I was wondering that myself; I was actually listening while I was working, and it was like it came out of nowhere. Granted, they were talking about the Cowboys (AGAIN), so I was probably half-listening. But still, it hadn't sounded like Skip was saying anything crazy or outrageous, or at least anything for her to get sideways about.
