I agree with your second point but idk about your first point. Most people in general, have trouble public speaking so I don't think it's that easy that anyone could do it.
truthfully rodgers can prolly do something in hollywood or elsewhere...he is a natural in front of a camera
I expected them to give it to Ken Jennings so this is a shock but not really surprising.

- Crammed his sole week of shows into one day of taping, when other hosts got at least 2-3;
- Put him up against the Olympics, where his episodes would be pre-empted on NBC affiliates carrying the games;
- Received direction from Mike Richards not knowing that Richards wanted the job himself
I’m glad i have context now as well. Mike Richards clearly sabotaged him. Levar wasn’t able to get comfortable because he didn’t have any time to do so. That's not to say that LeVar deserves the job necessarily. I figured some of this had to do with the fact that he was never one of the original planned guest hosts, and only got the gig due to a fan campaign. But I have no doubts the new host (and EP of the show) Mike Richards would purposely sabotage LeVar, knowing that he was by far one of the most popular candidates and Richards wanted the job himself.

Madness to me that these networks aren't researching this stuff beforehand. Madness to me too that in this day and age he didn't think this could come back to haunt him. Should have just stayed in his producer spot and off the radar. Idiot. Greed and lust for fame.
