I'm sorry, but Asians have enjoyed their proximity to whites at our expense and have said little to nothing about it.

You can sit here and get all aggy but I wonder if you've had the same energy for Asian anti-blackness.

They have a history of having zero problems being used as a racial wedge.
I find apathy perfectly understandable, it's the aggressive anger that i find bizarre. His is not my battle to fight but i'm not going to criticize the man for being upset when someone says something racially insensitive to him.

If you find it understandable, see why folks feel the way they do here.

theyve had no problem being used as a racial wedge all these years and are even the ones pushing their way to the supreme court now against race based admissions.

its hard to care

It's messed up if true.

I don't understand the hate for Jeremy Lin. He wasn't a dirty player and didn't say bad things about opponents or teammates in the league.
Now that Lin made a statement,

It doesn't look good that he won't specify who said this. If he lied about this story, he should be fined and banned from the league. It is dangerous to put these accusations out there.

My guess is that the league has a system for players to report this sort of thing. I would have imagined that he was going thru the proper channels.

Apparently this is being investigated but if the results of this aren't made public, or it turns out it never happened...Lin will deserve a lot of shyt coming to him.

I'm trying to stay somewhat objective about this tho.

i didnt even know they let you continue playing at this level once you have been on a real contract before. i feel for the dude but this will probably put the nail in the coffin of his career. either name names or save this for your book in a few years.

If the NBA treated the G League like a true minor league, then it wouldn't be a problem. They continue to mishandle it.

I'm sure he has. My point is that he's getting caught up in the sentiments of that moment/movement and now he's making his own negative experiences as 'big' as the struggles that black people have experienced. A lot of people are doing this right now. Acting like there's this shift in history now where every way in which you've been wronged deserves attention because revolution is in the air.

I'm saying he could have kept these particular feelings to himself and used it as fuel or even to bring more attention to BLM because he can relate. Instead, it's this 'Yeah black people have it bad but do you know how bad we actually have it too?' business. I think it's inappropriate, even though he's clearly right that he and other Asian Americans are still faced with this sort of thing daily. People are and will continue to be racist, we get it. But can we please focus on fixing the most egregious and systemic parts of it first before wearing our hearts on our social media sleeves? What exactly does he expect people to do about people thinking of him and other asians as ugly? Whereas it's much clearer what specific things can be done in police departments, higher education, health care etc. to bring about racial justice and equality.

His message just reeks of 'woe is me/us' and attention seeking rather than prioritizing fixing corrupted institutions. He should have gotten the ref to kick out that player first for example and then maybe send a letter to Adam Silver about policy recommendations regarding punishments or something. I don't like how his post is more of the same old 'raising awareness' and asking for attention rather than thinking in terms of solutions. It's taking on a victim role versus looking for actual solutions. From someone who got the educational opportunities he did, I expect more.
I counter with he's full of shyt for this exact fukkin reason:scust:

nikka got a degree at Harvard in economics but this isn't a calculated move on his part:gucci:

He literally went to the top school in the country and studied trends :pachaha:

If you don't think this is a last chance hoorah for a man who isn't coming back to the league and is aware of that . i got beach front property in wyoming:skip:

nikkas will believe anything:mjlol:

If the NBA treated the G League like a true minor league, then it wouldn't be a problem. They continue to mishandle it.

Its like I stated earlier he was in China hopping but they were beating him up and as a favor the Warriors signed him he was supposed to be on the actual team but some weird shyt happened where it was leaked in a way so to avoid issues he signed to the G-league team. I have no idea how much he’s making but he’s already a multi millionaire the average G-league salary is $ 35,000 Lin should not be there. He’s there out of arrogance and fukk him. Before Linsainty he was almost out the league anyway since then he’s had injuries that made him even lesser of a player.

In 2012 he partially tore his left meniscus and had surgery. In 2013 he had a chest contusion. 2014 sprained his right knee. 2015 sore left knee that shut him down in April there was a report that said he had a cartilage abnormality. 2017 hurt his hamstring and had a ankle injury. He won a title with the Raptors and then went to China.
