Thank you. Someone who actually gets it and looks at the numbers. Everyone is just going off names instead of actual chart topping hits. Dre's acts are mostly gangster rappers who are normally in the top 40 hits. Dre not winning a Verzuz with his own music, Eminem and Snoop alone.
You and the other guy are talkin bout shyt that means nothing. Chart positioning means shyt because in that era it was based on factors like how many radio spins it got.. Meanwhile, when you check soundscan an actual metric of popularity.. Dr. Dre has many more projects that went double, triple etc.. plat way more than Diddy..
N.W.A. wasn't getting radio play. it still stood the test of time.. they still sold records. The Chronic many east coast stations weren't trying to play it but guess what? it was all on MTV every single day.. the album went 4 or 5x plat. 2001 went like 7x plat and has songs on there that are classics now that actually didn't get radio play..
"What's the difference" and Xxplosive and all them tracks ain't get a lot of radio play but they are classics. today.
N.W.A., Death Row and then Shady/Aftermath/G-Unit ran album sales...
Diddy only has about three albums worth or material from that era that he can choose from. The rest is R&B shyt..
