This thread has some weirdo nikkaz (or cacs) in it.

Everybody and their mama who was involved with the NWA movement ended up consigning No Vaseline....yet dudes here this snake saying "you cannot steal in the music industry" and badmouthing Cube and they go along with it.

Weirdos man...
Did you listen to the interview or are you just responding to what you read in this thread? If you listen he talks about all of the paper work being there and it wasn't like him and eazy was in some office creating fake documents and ish. He said if he and Eazy stole all of that money then how come they were never sued for it? Those are some good points that leads me to believe that a veteran in the business got some kids from the streets and gave them typical slave deals. That doesn't mean they aint get ganked, but that's not exactly the same as having money stolen from you. Also, Bizzy said in a past interview that based on the strength of what E. 1999 did Ruthless was album to get a deal for something like $30 million and he felt that each member should have gotten at least a million, which they didn't. Bone was aware of past money issues while at Ruthless but they blamed Eazy as well as Jerry. Which they should because they were partners something you don't seem to want to do.

Cube is what Jerry said in the a interview. That don't mean he wasn't getting ganked or isn't wasn't a great artist but Cube is a good kid from a two parent home that was bussed to a school outside the hood, on his way to college etc. It is what it is.

yea im talking about e.99 eternal.

the original crossroad was supposed to be the 1st single.

tha crossroads remix wasnt on the original album.

He's talking about had the remix which blew up and sold millions been the first single on the album, the album would have outsold Thriller. I think it's just a coincidence to what he was saying that the original was suppose to be the first single. IMO Fo' The Love Of Money should have been the first single. It was perfect and had Eazy on it. Then they should have dropped Thuggish Ruggish.

I don't think he "stole" from them , u get what u sign and cube probably signed a fukked up contract.....rappers do it to themselves....same thing w all puffs artists, they were desperate and signed their lives away

Believe it or not, NWA released an album without signing any contracts. When contracts were finally brought up, Ice Cube wanted to have a lawyer look at them first. Everyone in NWA thought Ice Cube was crazy and he ended up leaving the group with basically just the clothes on his back.

Watch 3:15 to 5:15, but the whole video is worth watching.

No NWA member ever accused anyone of having money stolen from them but they did say they had fukked up contracts and the two people(Cube and Dre) who wanted to renegotiate were said no to so they left and ended up becoming the 2 biggest things out of the group by going solo.. I blame Jerry Heller for it more than Eazy, i'm pretty sure a guy who dealt with legendary acts before NWA knew a lot more about contracts and shyt than Eazy E

Eazy was talking about an NWA reunion album before he died and he fired Jerry Heller so it makes me wonder what couldve been:wow: would he have squashed the beef with Dre? Cuz he was making disses about him right before he went to the hospital.. Cube and Dre were more popular than him at that point so who's label would it have been on?:lupe:

yea. im just saying that the remix didnt exist when they dropping the singles, so theres no way it couldve been the 1st joint. jerry must be getting up there in age.

as for the EP, i disagree. "foe tha luv of $" is the better song, but thuggish ruggish was the PERFECT introductory single. plus it was spring/summertime, which made it even more fitting. and obviously they didnt need eazy on the track with them.

Says Bone could have outsold Thriller had Ruthless released Crossroads as the first single instead of the third or fourth single.:usure:Not sure about that but they definitely would have sold a gang of a lot more had it been their first single. I know Bizzy said flat out that Tameka Wright and Ruthless was intentionally holding them back to the point where they would stop promoting their albums once the label re-couped.

maybe its just me, but it seemed like jerry was about to speak on some of that but he bit his tongue and said hes not gonna get into it.

he prolly didnt want to make tameka look bad.

I disagree. When the ep dropped me and the homies quickly gravitated to Fo the luv and so did the radio. They didn't even wait for the clean version to drop, they just mixed out the curses of the original because the people wanted to hear it so bad. (For the youngsters, back in the day the radio actually played what people requested. :mjlol:) That was the breakout song imo and you always put your best foot forward first. I saw something recently that said Ruthless was buying the video repeatedly on the box to get it hot. They wouldn't need to have done that with fo the luv.

You're confusing me with the primary point. Maybe I don't understand what's being said. :yeshrug:

i think all labels bought videos on the box to get them jumpstarted before the fans catch on. you gotta remember, bone came outta nowhere and they werent heavily promoted.

thuggish ruggish was the introductory anthem, plus it reasonated with radio better, and was an actual spring/summer track. it was the bigger hit too, lets not forget.

i dont remember what the primary point was. im just saying that jerry is getting the remix confused with the original crossroad. cuz the remix didnt exist when the album dropped. it was the original version that was supposed to be the 1st single before the album got pushed back to the summer.

Cube never signed a contract with Ruthless. The others did and that's why they got fukked. Also the reason why Cube left.

Jerry is slandering Cube cause Cube called him and Eazy out on the bullshyt.

weird how jerry has basically nothin bad to say about dre, but hes going in on ice cube.

dre must got some power behind the scenes. either that or "no vasseline" is still burning his soul. jerry prolly saw "dre day" as kid chit.
