if anything, running the ball 35+ times was most likely a suicidal move if that didnt achieve results

think about it. raiders had crappy run offense, but pretty much the best pass offenses in the league and top 2 offense overall. gannon later won the mvp.

if callahan runs the ball 35 times and ends up losing his head would be on the pike and everyone would say why didnt you throw the ball with your mvp just like you did this season ?

you can say callahan was a p*ssy....but going away from it wasnt quite sabotage. 11 rushes for 19 yards basically tells you everything you need to know what happened to the run game in the superbowl
