There's a new thread every week about how Megatron is the best ever, people shytting on Stafford saying "give Megatron Young or Montana" yet forgetting to point out that Stafford throwing over 5,000 yards and shyt would not have happened in the 80's.. It's all funny to me.

Exactly, this all or nothing business is stupid. All I did was state a fact about the great qb's Jerry had, and say Randy would have been better off with those kinds of qb's throwing for him his whole career. Which is true. I even used the record breaking year with Brady that Moss had as an example.

No one can tell me anything about Rice. I grew up a Niners fan before he got there. Was at my cousins naming ceremony rooting for them when Montana got knocked out and Rice fumbled that game. Grew up rooting for someone to bump the Giants from the playoffs cuz they were the Niners Achilles heel. Understood why he was pissed that Joe got all the accolades vs. the bengals in that Super Bowl last second win when dude BEASTED that entire game and was one John Taylor block away on that crossing route on 3rd and 10 on the game winning drive from ending it. went into the 90s thinking Rice would finally lose it and he just refused to. I was never referring to this thread specifically when I made that comment and I'm not the poster who quoted the PFR article. I'm referring to the general mindset that I have seen on Sohh and now the coli where posters go out of their way to discredit rice for playing with hall of fame QBs. Hell, back then Montana would throw for 3500 yards and that's it. It was an entirely different league. They were a balanced offense. I don't see why people would shyt on Stafford when Megatron is still receiving a ton more opportunities than he would have twenty years ago.
