Seinfeld is not funny. At all. The funny people on his show were George and Kramer. Jerry and Elaine did not amuse me one bit.

And somehow the least funniest person on the show is making all the money. And second least funny person, Elaine, didn’t need to make money. Her father is a billionaire. With a B!! And she’s Jewish too

That's easy to say now. At the time he could have had a family and kids and it's not that easy turning down $600,000 an episode (that's how much the co-stars were making by the 9th season). And they did try to bargain for a larger cut of the syndication and they failed instead they got $1 million an episode for the final season.

And judging by their lack of success elsewhere (other than Julia Louis-Drefus doing Veep which she makes $250k an episode) it seems they made the right decision to keep taking those checks.
