some of these casuals in here are dikkriders. where were they at a few years ago when Steph got drafted? no one knew GSW would have a dynasty emerge that fast. that is the beauty of sports, things can change in an instant. I remember Harrison Barnes at combine and he said if the Warriors could stay healthy he thought they could be a contender.

and dont you nikkas say you knew it because when he was saying that, he was talking about himself joining Steph, Klay, Bogut, and Lee as their core. they didnt have Iggy and they didnt know what they had in Draymond, who couldve been cut and nobody wouldve thought nothing about it cuz he was just another 2nd rounder who people said was undersized and not athletic enough.

The Warriors are a great team with a great style but that doesnt mean teams are going to sit around and bow down to them. Any great GM is going to try and construct a team that they think can eliminate their biggest threat and I think with the Blake trade, you are seeing Jerry West starting to go to work. The same guy who incidentally was a big part of the culture that exists in Golden State today.

dumb thread

why do yall think PG would be so anxious to go and team with a 34 yr old bron ?

if he goes somewhere the stars need to probably be in their late 20s

Everywhere jerry west has gone...he wins...the only place he never really won was memphis ( a chip that is )...it will be interesting to see how this folds out in the next 2 or 3 seasons...

and I think Bron looks up to West in a lot of ways. they definitely share some of the same anguish. this Clips team will look a lot different soon. I dont think Doc will last even. a lot of things can transpire in a matter of months. what if the Spurs/Kawhi thing is bigger than we know?

In city brother rivalry :damn:
West will have all 3 ball boys in 3yrs, KD will jump ship but will come off the bench :wow:
Bron is NOT going to the fukking Clippers cmon
He will, then he can come off the bench when Gelo gets there

a) because he almost played with him this year. he said he would likely sign with Cavs long term if dealt there IF he knew Bron was coming back. Cavs messed the deal up and he ended up in OKC. Had he played with Bron this year, they probably wouldve stayed together in the long term.
b) forget about Bron, we are talking about PG wanting to play in Los Angeles. is the Lakers his preference? :yeshrug: or does he just desire to play in L.A.? With Roberson gone for the year we dont know how OKC finishes the year out and postseason. If they dont look like they are going in the right direction then he may not re-sign. IF he doesnt, he definitely is looking to play in L.A. somewhere as his top choice.

c) what stars are in their late 20's that the Clips are getting that are bigger and better than Lebron BEFORE another big name signs there?

They're positioning and planning for Kawhi and Davis..

this too. and the money that will get thrown at Klay may be too much for him to stay put. he said he would consider a discount but :francis:

You know Paul George personally? Or do you just not want them to link up?

what does him almost getting traded there this year have to do with next year ? first of all that was TRADE, not him being a free agent, picking his destination.

bron is old and doesnt play defense anymore.

him saying he wouldve stayed is just him not trying to sound like an ass. he would feel it out and see how it went and then decide, same as he is doing with OKC

long term, he should want to be with stars around his age, like russ, harden, or kawhi. why go into a long term contract with an aging star ? that isn't smart

I think the Clippers got a good one off here. They dumped Blake's contract right on the Pistons. Nobody else wanted that shyt. in the past 3 years he basically missed a full season worth of games. he isnt in All Star form and we probably have seen his peak, which is good but only if healthy. I mean $30 mil plus per year? and the last year he gets about $40 mil at 32 years old? how good is he without and elite PG? Seems like the Pistons did this more to fill the seats in that arena than long term winning aspirations.
