A lot that the current Dem Party can learn from his Presidential runs. He was ahead of his time.

That's really the premise of her book, how his political aspirations opened the door and set the tone.
It is hard to imagine his passing. For myself as a non-black, I was on to him being in the news a ton. Always marching, dabbling with the activists, always pushing for more. He was a staple here in Chicago for me. If there was some injustice, he was probably gonna show up no matter the applicable minority.
