Rest Up.

If you haven't checked out Abby Phillip's book on Jesse - "A Dream Deferred: Jesse Jackson and the Fight for Black Political Power" it's a good read.

A lot that the current Dem Party can learn from his Presidential runs. He was ahead of his time.

It is hard to imagine his passing. For myself as a non-black, I was on to him being in the news a ton. Always marching, dabbling with the activists, always pushing for more. He was a staple here in Chicago for me. If there was some injustice, he was probably gonna show up no matter the applicable minority.

Salute to a real one. :salute:

I met him in college many years ago

took a pic with him in the pre-iPhone era

He was a biiiig dude. Can tell he played sports

RIP to this legend. I didn't agree with everything he did, but he tried and cared.
