not at all. I goto Maryland and know plenty of people who are, have been, or were offered employment from google. Microsoft, amazon, etc.I think alot of black kids want to get into that tech field. black kids are not stupid especially the ones that know their shyt. I was going for web design and communications and technology... but i had to drop out I couldn't quite pay 6k a semester even with pell grants and taps... Its not the kids faults sometimes its the finances... colleges are very expensive and just imagine the tuition on those ivy leagues... why am I not surprised there's not alot of minorities in silicon valley. Don't you have to graduate from one of those crazy high tech schools in their perspective fields. MIT, CalTech. NYU. etc... etc...
in fact I'm going to a conference this week for black engineers in which plenty of those companies will be in attendace
at people thinking IT and certs are the gap for Black people doing it big in SV.

Expecting something good to come out of this. A lot of people do not know how this works but it will be handled silently and without a lot of press involved. I'm expecting scholarship programs, special training programs to come out of it. Maybe some partnerships with HBCUs. But he doesn't go anywhere unless there could be a benefit. But do not expect the fruits of this to be published ANYWHERE.
