I think alot of black kids want to get into that tech field. black kids are not stupid especially the ones that know their shyt. I was going for web design and communications and technology... but i had to drop out I couldn't quite pay 6k a semester even with pell grants and taps... Its not the kids faults sometimes its the finances... colleges are very expensive and just imagine the tuition on those ivy leagues... why am I not surprised there's not alot of minorities in silicon valley. Don't you have to graduate from one of those crazy high tech schools in their perspective fields. MIT, CalTech. NYU. etc... etc...

not at all. I goto Maryland and know plenty of people who are, have been, or were offered employment from google. Microsoft, amazon, etc.
in fact I'm going to a conference this week for black engineers in which plenty of those companies will be in attendace

I can't fault them for falling victim to the psychological warfare of white supremacy, especially when so many blacks themselves have fallen victim to that same propaganda. We are in this together, however grudgingly, and no amount of division takes away from the fact that white supremacy is the enemy.

Dudes want to bring up Google, but conveniently leave out that those two dudes were PhD students at Stanford.

They put their studies on hold because, if they had started Google while still at Stanford, the school would have been entitled to a good bit of the company. Most schools like Stanford have stipulations that require a kickback for using its resources if you found a company.

Brin and Page did it the smart way. Left school and then started the company after they'd already used the school's resources!

nothing will come out of this, any black stem major that goes to silicon valley will do fine, the notion that companies in silicon valley arent hiring blacks is a lie, there simply are not enough black stem graduates, that has nothing to do with silicon valley it has everything to do with black people having an anti academic culture

we need to stop putting our faith on liberal solutions like affirmative action or "diversity" initiatives and deal with the real problem

And Black people on MASS need more Jesse Jacksons because today's Black Millionaires or Billionaires don't have the backing like Google or even Walmart. As I have pointed out earlier that I think it won't be public and if anything it is just a meeting about future opportunities that can be presented to minorities.
