Game is piff to me. The way the missions play out, the decisions you make, and the way they effect the story>>>>>>>>>any other rpg EVER. This is a very mature and patient game.

Fallout, skyrim,etc got some catching up to do in that regard.

I dont even wanna start with how bad/clunky the controls are in this game..some of the worst controls ive ever played with but thats a discussion for another day...all those 10/10 scores this shyt got tho

Game is clunky as fukk. I have it on pc and i had the hardest time moving smoothly in the game. i was starting to think my memory card was bad. Game definitely bored the fukk out of me 2 hours in. this is my first witcher game though. Graphically its beautiful, but i'm honestly not feeling the combat. A bit to complex, given the overall pace of the game.

I like the lore and the sidequests branching might be some of the best I've ever seen.

I also love just riding running around the world exploring.

However there are plenty of legit gripes. Floaty controls. Sometimes boring monologues. Overwhelming amount of stuff to do. Some bugs.

Sometimes things can be wierd graphically too. Like I'll be riding through the forest and amazed by the light playing off the foliage and the expansive hills trees and grass an the sky. Then I'll get to a body of water and the water is on some PS2 shyt still looks great though. Prolly cause im on PS4 not PC.

I'm 25 hours in and it's still it my attention. We'll see how long that lasts.

edit: I heard the story wasn't even about saving the world from destruction... it was about finding a loved one

Hard to doubt it when most of the reviews I've read and watch neglected to mention some folks might hate the controls...

I understand the criticism of the controls in the witcher.

But using GTA as an example of "good" controls is beyond laughable.

The controls in the witcher take some getting used to, they are very deliberate and adverse to hand holding (ie: hit triangle anywhere near a car and the character walks and gets in for you) you have to be in the correct position for contextual prompts to work.
