Help me understand, a lot of people are bashing this game. I played witcher 2 and enjoyed it, is it on par or worse , or is this just people not acclimated to the witcher franchise venting. When I first played witcher 2 which was my first game with Geralt I was like WTF is this wack shyt at first. Then after a few hours I got into a groove and enjoyed it.

No game should be getting 10/10 with controls this clunky and unresponsive

That's my biggest gripe and takes away from the experience that and the fact that the story is all over the place.

But using GTA as an example of "good" controls is beyond laughable.

Aye, the shooting and controls in GTA are pretty horrible. Both TW3 and GTAV have a lot of the same advantages and disadvantages imo.

I'm going to need some proof that this game is significantly better than the 2nd to cop. I got the 2nd one with Games of Gold and I'm about done with Act 1 and not impressed at all. This is coming from a fan of Elder Scrolls too

After those titties, it was all downhill. I tried playing that shyt 4x but it was just boring and the combat sucked. I don't know why Witcher games get so hyped.

Its better in every way.

Witcher 2 took some getting use to, but I didn't mind cause it was free

Sounds like part 3 is more of the same just prettier this time around.

I did hear it had too much to do and that there's a collectible card game quest that's extensive as hell too.

I'll get it when it's on discount

Consoles are supposedly on medium settings.

On PC there is a significant differnce in the way the water looks between medium and ultra.

I keep mine on medium though so I can play as close to 60fps as possible

I'm playing on all ultra. The water still looks pretty bad at ultra.

The combat is basic as fukk wtf you on about breh.

Yeah, complaints and praise are all over the place of this game. I think what it really comes down to is in the end, gamers be dumb as fukk B. It's no wonder most games do actually hand-hold these days.

Ultimately tho, the game is great. It's definitely not perfect, but very solid RPG.

The combat was frustrating at first... But I'm getting the feel of these controls and the responsiveness. I think cdpr wanted a mix of PC controls and consoles controlls. Cause all things considered this was not built for next gen control wise..

But once you get through the learning curve its fun... I just wished there was more parrying counterattacks system in the game. Swordplay should be a major component

Game is an open world rpg. Better realized world than Dragon Age Inquisition and Skyrim, but the gameplay doesn't hold up when compared to action games. Still, probably the best WRPG to date.
