. They said that nobody showed up for one house show and Cornette gave Jim Herd flowers with a note saying RIP WCW. Its like this, WCW around that time had probably one of the best rosters of all time (hence the WWE current time), but the wrong bookers for the job (hence the WWE current time), thus led to WCW being in the pits along with fans not giving a damn (50/50 with WWE nowadays). Along with the fact that wrestling was in a weird decline around that time with the steroid trial, no sense of direction for wrestlers, and all around mess with funds and etc. If it wasn't for Bischoff convincing Ted to give up the funds, Heyman for making a wrestling version of a grunge album, and Vince having his back against the wall...wrestling would have been dead all around
He was back in Feb 93It was TNA status back then...only person most kids knew was Sting...this was the year Flair was in WWF too I believe

Those years gave us the legend:
Bout to go step to the kitchen and get something to drink.

Nah... Sting, Dangerous Alliance, Vader, Steamboat, Dustin & Windham, Gordy & Dr. Death, Cactus, Jushin Liger, Pillman, etc. were puttin' in that work and turning out good TV... but like most of the time, whomever was runnin' WCW weren't on their shyt and managed to screw it all up by the end of '92. And yeah, they were givin' away super discounted and sometimes free tickets. My local channel that aired WCW was 54, and they were giving tickets for kids at 54 cents sometimes. Other times they'd be 1 or 2 dollars... shyt was wild. At the time, I didnt mind of course, but lookin back, they were definitely doin' bad business-wise.
Don't forget the top rope maneuvers = automatic disqualification.Over the top rope dq![]()
