Geno Smith is not a read option QB, at least not by design.

i remember ppl making a big deal out of his 40 time earlier this year.....I was like It's not like he's a option/running QB. He's a pocket passer.

But ppl see a black QB and automatixally make a judgement.

it just means that geno hasn't outshined sanchez so far. and if they play at a similar level, then sanchez should get the nod over geno.
