Michael Vick had his career unfairly destroyed by racist whites. Before the dog trial he was leading a team of scrubs to the NFC championship game.

Vick minus the dog trial is a Hall of Fame QB.

The dog trial was a shame

But still, even before that the injury and the lack of development was evident

And after the dog trial he had 1 good season

Vick is vastly over rated, amazing talent, but never developed into what he could have been

Check his numbers he was at best a middle of the road passer

Never more than 21 passing tds in a year, most seasons in the teens, accuracy always in the 50s

If Jackson is Vick 2.0 you might wanna wait til round 2.0

Lamar Jackson is a 11 on 11 player. Fukk throwing in shorts at the combine.

His college tape says he's Michael Vick 2.0.

Allen, Darnold, and Rosen have better long term prospects because they are better pocket passers. But next season, Lamar Jackson will be the best QB from this year's draft.

His athleticism will be too much for the NFL to handle.

shyt is pathetic how blacks and whites talk about Lamar. But quiet when you got BUM ASS QB'S like Bortles, Glennon, Bradford, Smith, etc still in the league. You give Lamar Jackson a fukking Jags defense and Fournette and they would have been in the super bowl his rookie year. Lamar was Lousville offense. Just like Chubb was the defense. Without either you wouldn't even think about Louisville. Their backs and WR's are just mediocre yet he still won the Heismann. smh

Vick was a beast. He admittedly said he didn't pay attention to coaches or studied film. Matt Ryan bum ass been there for years and they took forever to get to the NFC chip game and to the Superbowl. Vick was a highlight reel. Imagine if he had stud WR's and a defense like a lot of these cacs have and still don't produce.

This is just another reason to hate the Pats for being gifted that division year after year. Complete and utter ineptitude litters those three other franchises.

This trade exemplifies the ineptitude of the Jets organization.

so what did you want the Jets to do to address QB? If the answer is simply to wait at 6, who are you waiting for at 6 that won't get taken by 3, maybe 4 teams if one jumps up?

Breh, you’re wasting your time. Everyone is going to have an opinion. Everyone is a fukking draft expert and GM now. Just gotta hope that it pans out.

They just signed a QB to their roster and they named McCown their starting QB REGARDLESS of the aforementioned signing, which means they already have a QB and backup in place for next season. If they were that thirsty for a QB, they should've traded down to the middle of the first or lower to draft either Mayfield or Jackson. Or better yet draft somewhere else, take Nelson, Barkley or Chubb, and use one of those high seconds on one. Then use the rest of them to fill out their positions of need, if they fail next season then get a QB next season and he'll be set up with a solid, cheap roster top to bottom to help him ease his way in.

Trade makes no sense since they are going to ride with McCown all season if they draft a QB, and then you lose out on the chance to fill out the roster with talent to surround that new QB with when he finally gets a chance to play.

I don't think they plan on playing that guy immediately regardless of who it is. The earliest that a future QB will see the field is year 2.

They've tried the "maybe we can find a QB in the later rounds" strategy. Long story short, they failed miserably and nobody trusts their draft acumen to identify that guy. We still don't trust them to get the third pick right.

The issue you have is to get the QB you want next year, you'll have to lose more than the Jets did last year, but if that happens, everyone is gonna lose their jobs. If the Jets try to compete and fail and still don't have their future QB, it'll be damn near impossible to trade up for it. That is the dilemma they're in.

You're trusting McCown to win you some games regardless so you should've rode with him and have that shiny new QB inherit the offense the following year because the guy you're drafting at #3 won't play until week 5 or 6 ANYWAY and you got some tough games to start with. Whenever #3 gets to play they won't be dealt a good hand, they'll be asked to beat the Pats twice, the Jags (), the Vikings, the Lions and a potentially revitalized Browns team with a roster that isn't up to snuff.

As opposed to either taking those L's or trusting McCown/Bridgewater to do it with better talent around them and getting a QB the following year. The coaching staff will probably all be fired regardless because I don't think Rosen, Darnold OR Allen is going to play significantly better than McCown/Bridgewater in year 1 with a late start to their season.

Anyone criticizing the Jets for this trade either knows nothing about football or nothing about this franchise.

Go look up our history with 2nd round picks.

FUKK 2nd round picks...been there done that.

We need a franchise QB, or at least die trying to get one, We’ve had enough of this mediocrity bullsh*t.

AND we didn’t have to give up a 1st rounder next year?

:wow:
Laughingstock.
